Complete IT documentation with passive components
A comprehensive overview at last: With Docusnap, you can manage your locations, racks, patch panels, etc. conveniently and easily using an editor.
Complete recording and visualisation of the physical infrastructure
In Docusnap, you can record the physical infrastructure in full and map it true to the original. Using the infrastructure editor, you can create locations, assets, IT hardware and their cabling and visualise them graphically in plans. You can also document the components of the passive cabling. A powerful wizard also makes it easy to import existing documentation.
Realistic representation of racks in the data centre
Efficient management of the physical infrastructure
Comprehensive documentation of all relevant components
Document locations and racks
In Docusnap, locations are recorded and structured as required in the form of cities, buildings and rooms. It is then possible to place IT hardware (e.g. racks, workstations) and assets (e.g. extinguishing systems, access systems) in these locations. The racks are also equipped with various hardware components. It does not matter whether these components were inventoried automatically or created manually. The arrangement is visualised graphically and can either be displayed in a plan or exported to Visio.
Hierarchical representation: city, building, room, etc.
Detailed room plans
Rack assembly with original components
Faithful reproduction of the physical infrastructure
With Docusnap, you can visualise your physical infrastructure true to the original: your own photos are just as possible as countless shapes for a wide variety of connector, cable and element types. Everything else is automatically supplemented by Docusnap's agent-free IT inventory.
Realistic mapping of the racks
Add your own photos and shapes
Simple assignment to automatically inventorised systems
Passive cabling
Docusnap offers you the option of manually recording passive cabling components (e.g. patch panels, network outlets) and integrating them into the IT documentation. To do this, IT systems are assigned to the various ports of the patch panels and network outlets. Additional information such as cable types and colours can also be defined. By documenting the passive cabling, it is possible to map the connection between two systems at port level.
Powerful import assistant
Docusnap offers a very high degree of automation to save you manual effort and therefore time in your day-to-day work. An intelligent import wizard maps existing structures in Docusnap. You can also easily import large amounts of data using CSV import.
