Document locations and racks

In Docusnap, locations are recorded and structured as required in the form of cities, buildings and rooms. It is then possible to place IT hardware (e.g. racks, workstations) and assets (e.g. extinguishing systems, access systems) in these locations. The racks are also equipped with various hardware components. It does not matter whether these components were inventoried automatically or created manually. The arrangement is visualised graphically and can either be displayed in a plan or exported to Visio.

Hierarchical representation: city, building, room, etc.

Passive cabling

Docusnap offers you the option of manually recording passive cabling components (e.g. patch panels, network outlets) and integrating them into the IT documentation. To do this, IT systems are assigned to the various ports of the patch panels and network outlets. Additional information such as cable types and colours can also be defined. By documenting the passive cabling, it is possible to map the connection between two systems at port level.
