Expanded Docusnap Organization

IT documentation often requires the logical allocation of systems and software. The Docusnap organization offers the opportunity to map organizations, processes and services. It is not possible to assign objects or even software and systems in the standard version.

With this customizing, Docusnap is extended to include these functions. The extension is based on the objects already available in the standard:

• organization
• processes
• Service

Processing is carried out below the organization in the Docusnap tree structure. In doing so, the standard objects are supplemented with further data. In addition, it is also possible to assign processes to organizations and from services to processes. Organizations, processes, and services must be assigned manually. The input masks for the objects have been extended accordingly.

Systems and software can then be assigned to a service. This makes it possible to link the organizational structure with the inventoried objects. When software is assigned to the service, the display of the systems below the software is dynamic. This relates to the current inventory data.
