Windows Inventory

Comprehensive and automated inventory of all Windows servers and workstations in your network with Docusnap.

Agentless Windows inventory with Docusnap

Windows inventory with Docusnap offers IT administrators and IT managers an agentless solution for comprehensive recording and documentation of all Microsoft Windows systems in the network. By using standard interfaces and protocols, no additional software installation is required on the target systems. This reduces administrative costs and minimizes the impact on network performance.

A key feature of the Docusnap solution is the ability to automate and regularly perform Windows inventory. With a valid administrator ID and a network connection, Docusnap collects detailed information about the hardware, installed software, and configurations of the Windows systems. This data is stored in the ITIL-compliant Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and is available for further analyses.

The practical benefits of Windows inventory with Docusnap are manifold. IT administrators benefit from a quick and easy collection of all relevant data without having to make manual intervention. This saves time and reduces potential sources of error. The collected data forms the perfect basis for tasks such as authorization analysis, license management and creating network plans. In addition, Docusnap enables the precise allocation of application areas to servers, which ensures effective management of the IT infrastructure.

Another highlight of Windows inventory is the output of automated documents and reports. Docusnap creates detailed data sheets and network plans based on the collected data. This makes documentation easier and provides a clear presentation of the IT landscape.
