Backup Exec Inventory
Automated recording of all relevant systems, including hardware, installed software, and specific configurations.
Benefits of Backup Exec Inventory with Docusnap
Docusnap's Backup Exec inventory provides IT administrators and IT managers with an efficient and reliable solution for comprehensive inventory of their Backup Exec services. Docusnap's agentless and automated inventory technology eliminates the need for additional software installations on target systems, which optimizes both resource conservation and network performance. This solution is ideal for companies that value accurate and up-to-date documentation of their IT infrastructure.
The practical benefits of Backup Exec inventory are manifold. On the one hand, it enables detailed recording of all relevant systems, including hardware, installed software and specific configurations. This comprehensive database provides the perfect basis for various administrative tasks, such as planning capacities, managing IT resources and preparing emergency documentation. The automatically generated reports provide a clear overview and make decision-making easier.
One outstanding feature of Docusnap is the ability to create and distribute reports on a scheduled basis. This means that IT administrators receive regular updates on the health of their Backup Exec installations without the need for manual intervention.
The integration of inventoried data into a central configuration management database (CMDB) enables structured and clear management of all IT resources. The central administration and use of the Docusnap Discovery Service also supports decentralized inventory via online or VPN connections, which increases the flexibility and scalability of the solution.
