SNMP Inventory

Detailed overview of all active network components such as switches, routers, printers and IP telephones.

Agentless inventory of your SNMP systems

SNMP inventory is an essential component for any IT administration that relies on efficient and comprehensive network monitoring. Docusnap offers an agentless solution for inventoriing SNMP systems, which provides IT administrators and IT managers with numerous practical benefits in everyday life. Thanks to automated data collection, the high manual effort is eliminated, which leads to significant time and cost savings.

With Docusnap's SNMP inventory, IT administrators receive a detailed and structured overview of all active network components, such as switches, routers, printers, and IP phones. The collected data is automatically stored in the integrated Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and is available for further analyses. This comprehensive information is the perfect basis for numerous tasks, from optimizing network performance to precise fault diagnosis and repair.

An outstanding feature of SNMP inventory with Docusnap is the ability to graphically represent the physical and logical network topology. This includes both physical cabling plans and layer 3 network plans that illustrate connections between switches and connected devices, such as Windows systems and printers. These visualizations can easily be exported to Microsoft Visio for further editing or presentation.

In addition, Docusnap automatically creates meaningful documentation, such as reports and overviews, which contain all relevant information about the inventoried SNMP systems. This includes, for example, printer datasheets, including toner inventories, as well as detailed network and routing plans.

By supporting SNMP protocols SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3, Docusnap is able to capture and document a wide range of device types. The use of standardized MIBs (Management Information Bases) and the ability to import proprietary MIBs from manufacturers ensure flexible and comprehensive data collection.
