HPE Storage Inventory
Alletra, Primera and 3PAR provide scalable storage infrastructures that Docusnap automatically documents to ensure transparency and efficiency.
Advantages of HPE storage inventory with Docusnap
HPE Storage inventory provides IT administrators and IT managers with a detailed inventory and documentation of HPE storage infrastructures. All major HPE systems are supported, including Alletra, Primera and 3PAR, ensuring high availability, scalability and efficiency in storage management. HPE storage solutions can be documented comprehensively and agentlessly with Docusnap.
By using the HPE Web Services API (WSAPI), all relevant data such as volumes, vLUNs, LUN exports, WWNs and their dependencies are automatically recorded. LUN exports are the assignment of storage resources (LUNs) to hosts or servers, allowing them to access storage volumes as if they were their own local disks. This reduces administrative overhead and enables regular, complete documentation.
A key feature of the solution is its support for REST-based protocols for inventory. Collected data is stored in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and can be used for further analysis.
With HPE storage inventory, concepts such as capacity management and storage allocation can be efficiently implemented. Automated reports and a clear representation of the storage environment make it easier for IT teams to overview and manage.
