Microsoft SharePoint Inventory

SharePoint inventory with Docusnap gives IT administrators and IT managers comprehensive insights into SharePoint structures.

Automated inventory and rights analysis

SharePoint inventory with Docusnap revolutionizes the everyday work of IT administrators and IT managers by providing comprehensive and automated insights into SharePoint structures. Microsoft SharePoint serves as a central platform for internal and external collaboration within companies, and the data collected through Docusnap provides the perfect basis for a wide range of tasks. Inventory and rights analysis are completely automated, which minimizes manual documentation costs.

By using the Microsoft SharePoint SDK, Docusnap can collect information about various SharePoint versions from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2019, SharePoint Services and SharePoint Foundation without additional software agents. This enables complete documentation and analysis of access rights, including inheritance, inheritance blocking, group memberships and assignment of rights via groups. This gives IT administrators a transparent presentation of the authorization structure, which is particularly invaluable when managing large and complex SharePoint farms.

A major advantage of SharePoint inventory with Docusnap is the use of a user-friendly assistant, which makes configuring inventory significantly easier. In addition, scheduling jobs can be created, which are processed independently by the Docusnap server. This means that inventory is carried out regularly and without additional manual effort, which guarantees a database that is always up to date.

The results of the inventory are output in the data explorer and can be further analyzed using various filter options. Docusnap also generates automated and scheduled reports about the SharePoint farm and web applications, which provide IT administrators and managers with valuable insights and decision-making tools. These reports are essential for security monitoring and compliance management, as they provide detailed information about existing access rights and their changes.
